Stop taxing the earned income of workers

To the Editor:

Yes, it's legal for Pennsylvania's school districts to tax the earned income of workers and to share that revenue with another governmental unit. However, why do it? It is an unfair tax on the working class, and it costs extra to collect that tax.

Yes, property taxes are very unpopular with taxpayers, but these taxes are much fairer than the earned income of workers because they are based on the size (value) of a property.

Think about it! It doesn't make sense to pay twice to collect tax revenue for a school district or any other governmental unit.

Stop taxing the earned income of workers!
