Editor's note: The letter below is related to the fundraiser on behalf of Timmy Parson that occurred Saturday, March 4, in an effort to offset his medical costs.
"A Big Thank You"
On behalf of the Parson family and the Chief Logan Fire Department, we would like to thank all the wonderful people of Mifflin County and the surrounding areas. We could not thank everyone enough for the support and generosity you all showed to the family. We would like to thank all of the fire companies that came together to help put this fundraiser together and all the hard work they all put in to make this a huge success, as well as all the people and companies that donated to help cover the cost of the food so this could be a donation cost meal, and those who also donated stuff for the auction. Thank you to Sinister Donuts for setting up and donating some from the donuts. In closing, thank you to everyone who came to the fundraiser and bought or donated. It will definitely help the family in the time of need.

"What a Fool Believes"
Stop the presses! The country of East Biden is finally back under control after a dam collapse. The spillway has had water in it for decades. Then the overflow gates were opened in 2021 and a flood of unwanted water ran into our country. Water from all over the world was just allowed to flow across our border without any form of remediation. There was brown water, gray water, spring water, salt water and wastewater identified in the spillway. When the dam broke from letting too much water flow, the deluge was unbelievable! All resources were swamped, pardon the pun. The flood waters ran for years until June 2023 when someone noticed a drop in water flow. Could it be true?
Now that most of the water has passed the dam, some people feel we are finally safe. They want to thank the people who opened the overflow gate in the first place and caused the dam to burst. They are called liberals! They live on hills away from the water. They welcome the water as long it doesn't get too close to them! (as in Nantucket) The water is still flowing, the gray water is full of drugs, and the spring water is being carried off to be used! Go ahead and brag how things are better; it shines a light on your intelligence!
Only a fool would cause a flood and declare a victory -- and only a fool would believe them.
