Thanks you to 'Flags
for Heroes' organizers
To the Editor:
On Tuesday, the Rotary Club had a ceremony praising all Veterans, Doctors, Nurses and the whole working staff in the hospital and nursing homes; also, the ambulance, all personnel and all the firemen from all of the firehouse companies, as well as the people from the Red Cross who help in all cases of emergencies such as fires, accidents, and all of the other things that people may need help with. The Rotary did a really good job with this program. They had three guest speakers who did a great job as well. The following Thursday, there was a house on fire. The house was engulfed in flames. Without the quick response of the fire companies, the house next door could have caught on fire, too. The people in Mifflin County are lucky to have really good fire companies and ambulance services to take care of them. A perfect example of Flags For Heroes! The Rotary Club not only provided for this event, but they do many things for the people in our area. Thank you to all the people that help make the program "Flags For Heroes."
