Thank you for your support of the Easter Egg Hunt
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who sponsored and assisted with our Easter Egg Hunt, which was held on April 8th.
Thank you to the following for your generous contributions: Bowersox Truck Repair, Dan and Deb Durst, Easter Egg Hunt Bingo, Farmer's Choice, Houser's Auto Body Shop, Joan Kerstetter, John Gamby, Ken and Edie Barger, Lerch RV, Little Warrior's Baseball Team, Mick Weber, Milroy American Legion, Milroy Deli, Milroy Door Co., The Frozen Spoon, The Old Country Store, and Tim and Linda Marks.
We would also like to thank everyone who donated money and helped scatter a lot of candy and eggs, and those who assembled the baskets and buckets filled with candy and goodies. With over 40,000 pieces of candy, and over 330 children who participated, the event was a huge success, and we could not have done it without the help of our community.
Also, thank you goes out to the Armagh Community Group, the Easter Bunny, and the Armagh Township Police Department.

I have been watching reruns for the past week on the news where the three men were at a grab and run sale at the five-finger discount store. Most of you people have probably seen it, as well. I understand that the three men were arrested later because three employees filmed them and told the police. They also told the shoplifters to get out of the store. It was stated on the news that the employees were fired because as the employer said they violated store policies by following the thieves. The video did not show anyone following the men any farther than to the door that they exited by. I am glad that the men were arrested, but the question is, will they get any punishment for their crime? Most of the time, they do not. These same men have been involved in this sort of activity before according to the news report. This is not an isolated case. This sort of thing has been going on all over the country for the past couple of years. Any size group from just a couple to large gangs of people. It is high time the court starts handing out some significant punishment to those who are doing this sort of thing. What the law is handing out as punishment is not slowing this sort of thing down any. The law has been changed many places, so that if you don't steal more than $1,000, it is a misdemeanor, and no one gets more than a slap on the wrist and they are back out on the street to do it again. That is so stupid. Punishment has to hurt, or it is not punishment, and it does not work.
