Hard to Find"
This is a reply to Mr. Geedey's letter in the April 12th Sentinel. It seems Mr. Geedey and I are not that far apart on some common sense issues.
There is no such thing as "informed common sense". This is not to say that every person who identifies as "liberal" is all in on all issues. It is the presumption of this collective thinking backed by liberal media that lumps every person to one title, conservative or liberal. Common sense tells me individuals can mix any idea or ideology as they choose. There is nothing in common sense to require 100% group think. Common sense requires logic and rational thinking.
I believe, as he does, that Covid at the start was a serious concern for everyone. Then the liberal media took over and we received conflicting scientific "facts" that are now being disproved. Common sense tells me that the "scientists" who predicted in 1988 that sea levels will rise 4' by 2025 was guesswork. This has not happened and the assumptions are not scientific! They are competing for grant money and writing the results that will get themselves grants to write papers. Yes, global warming is real and 8 billion people on this planet are the cause. Evolution is working overtime and will provide our future. We are far more likely to starve to death via overpopulation or war! I agree that there is nothing wrong with teaching all of the atrocities of America's past, but not to five year olds! This makes no more sense than teaching sexual details to five year olds. There is a time and place for all things. The second amendment is a real quandary! Nothing can deprive a person the ability to defend themselves! Every person must have an equal measure of defense to combat any threat! I wholeheartedly agree this mass shooting situation is out of hand in America. Common sense tells me not to be outgunned by criminals or the government. There is no answer that can satisfy all without all law abiding citizens becoming victims.
Without science being involved common sense tells me going from cheap energy independence to expensive energy dependence is pure incompetence! It also tells me doubling the illegal immigration and calling our borders secure is irresponsible. Not putting the deaths from fentanyl squarely on border security is outrageous! Only in America can a person advocate that a man can give birth to a, pick your own gender baby and receive liberal support for him/her! Can you call that common sense? Claims like this are what put Liberals into a group that defies logic!
There is no "actual science" from liberals, only the contrived science to support their claims. History should be taught to people who have the ability to absorb, digest and accept that information without liberal conclusions. It's like a white person attempting to absorb the crimes of the past they had no part of by wearing a BLM shirt. It makes the wearer feel better about themselves, does nothing to help black lives and puts white feelings ahead of blacks. I am not afraid of change as long as common sense is present. Liberal common sense is out there but very hard to find.

I have known Tammy Stuck for many years now and she is a caring and kindhearted individual who has dedicated herself to her job as Prothonotary. Though it is an elected position, Tammy is not driven by political beliefs. Rather, doing the job is her primary goal. She is attentive to detail and strives to fulfill her duties to the utmost. Along with this high level of responsibility, she maintains a compassionate attitude in dealing with others. She takes time to engage others on a personal level, including those that society may view with some disdain. Instead, Tammy treats everyone with dignity and respect, letting them know that they retain value as a person even when they have made mistakes in life. Her empathy enables her to interact effectively with a wide range of people and her organizational skills keep her office running smoothly.
Tammy has years of experience in this position, and even more years previously in the Court system, and has served Mifflin County well. I will enthusiastically vote for her to serve another term and encourage others to do the same.

This letter is to all you people out there who think that the open border policies of this Biden administration is a good thing. The truth is coming out about the terrible things that are happening to the children. As I have written about in previous letters about how children are being used by people in this country for child labor at jobs that most people would not want to do, and under conditions that most would not want to work under. Not only this, but kids used in the sex trade. Not to mention the many girls and young women raped in the course of their travels before they even cross the border. I have written about the rape trees where cartel members and others keep score by hanging their underwear in the limbs of the trees. People in the Biden administration know all about these things going on and they turn a blind eye to the situation and pretend it is not happening or even outright lie about it. You ungodly people that continue to support this administration should be so ashamed of yourselves that you couldn't show your face in public. There are some people starting to come forward and blow the whistle on these things.
Biden's policies at the border are allowing the cartels to make billions of dollars bringing these people across the border, not to mention the billions they are making with the drugs they smuggle across by using the people to keep the border patrol busy processing people while they bring drugs across somewhere else. And that is killing thousands of Americans, over 100,000 since Biden took office.
In addition to all this, there is all the property damage to American's homes, farms, and ranches caused by illegals and the extra cost of supporting and feeding and educating and doctor and medical bills for the millions of illegals that have come across the border since Biden took office. There have been many millions more since Biden took office than the entire four years of Trump. Many millions more!
You ungodly people who support this disaster better wake up and smell the coffee!

I am writing to express my strong support for Andrea Alcalde's candidacy for the position of Mifflin County Coroner. As a Mortuary Assistant, I have had the privilege of working closely with Andrea in her capacity as Deputy Coroner, Chief Deputy Coroner and now our acting Coroner.
Andrea has a compassionate and empathetic approach to the families of the deceased. As someone who transports descendants on a regular basis, I can tell you that bringing a loved one to the morgue is always a difficult and emotional experience for family members. Andrea recognizes this, and she takes the time to offer comfort and support to those who are grieving. She is always mindful of the fact that every case she handles involves not just a body, but a person who had a family, friends and loved ones who are grieving their loss.
I have no doubt that she is the right choice for Mifflin County Coroner. She has the knowledge, experience, and dedication necessary and she's exactly what Mifflin County deserves.
I strongly endorse Andrea Alcalde's candidacy for Mifflin County Coroner, and I urge you to give her your full support and vote on May 16th, 2023.

I would just like to express my gratitude for acting coroner Andrea Alcalde and her commitment to the office. I got the privilege of working first hand with Andrea in the early morning at a vehicle accident. Andrea's quick response, attention to detail, and willingness to work hand in hand with myself and the rest of the first responders was enlightening. Andrea's experience and willingness to share her knowledge with us is unheard of. We had learned a good deal that morning of the workings of her office and knowledge of what to be looking for to help in the future. This experience did not end after the call as Andrea was willing to be there to help us with processing the incident after. Andrea knows we see a lot, but also understands that we are all human and sometimes these incidents hit close to home. A large number of us on that scene knew the deceased. Andrea's willingness to keep our wellbeing and mental health at the forefront, while she already had more than enough to do, speaks volumes to Andrea's character and commitment to the wellbeing of first responders.
In closing, I would just like to express my respect for Andrea and her commitment to the position of coroner, as well as just being a caring and respectful person.
