Thanks to all who helped make Mifflin-Juniata Golf United Classic a success!
The 2023 United Way of Mifflin-Juniata's Golf United Classic was held on May 12th at the Lewistown Country Club. This was the second annual Golf United Classic event and it was a great success.
This event was a fantastic example of the supporting and giving nature of our communities. We want to thank our sponsors who made this day a success. As I continue to watch the news on TV concerning the Ex-Marine now arrested for the death of the homeless man on the subway in NYC, I have a few more comments on the subject. As you might expect from my previous letter, I think that the actions taken by the prosecutor are strictly based on race, and a liberal point of view. He has on a regular basis excused lawbreakers and let them go free time and time again and chose to prosecute those who choose to protect themselves and others. This is a stupid way of doing things. When you continually don't prosecute the lawless, you get more lawlessness. This man is a disgrace to the office he holds. But this is typical of cities run by liberal Democrats. As for me, you couldn't pay me enough money to live in a place like NYC, or even work there.
