Thanks to the community for your donations
To the editor:
The Juniata High School Junior Class Parents' Association would like to thank the many businesses, parents, grandparents, and the community for their generous donations which helped us create a memorable after prom. With your donations, we were able to provide the students with a Laser Tag Battle Dome, Ninja Warrior Course, Virtual Reality Experiences, arcade games, over $10,000 in prizes, food, and a coffee bar from Guante's Cafe. The River Church was gracious enough to allow us to use their 9 square volleyball game, and Juniata High School allowed us to use their volleyball nets, volleyballs, and ping pong table. We also want to thank Mrs. Strawser, Mr. Fausey, and the Juniata High School janitorial staff for all their help. We want to especially thank Shane Yeater who went above and beyond to make sure we had a successful event. Special thanks to Nathaniel Nace and the construction trades students and Rachel Shepler and her art students who made beautiful corn hole boards that were given away as prizes. Lastly, we would like to thank the community for their unwavering support of all of our fundraisers that helped us raise the money to make this event a success. We had 217 students sign up for the after prom and at 4:00 in the morning, we still had over 140 students at our event. We would also like to share how appreciative the students were for everything the community did for them. Every student thanked us when they came in, and throughout the night the kids repeated how grateful they were for everything. As you look over the list of businesses that donated, please notice it was the local businesses that really came through and supported this event for the students, so please remember that and support them.
