The election of a judge in the Court of Common Pleas of Mifflin County is extremely important. It is a 10-year term with significant local responsibility. There are three candidates, all of whom are republicans and who cross-filed on both primary ballots.

I have known all three for many years. All three are truly "nice guys." All three have run a clean, professional campaign. I believe there is a factor which is the true bottom line when people choose their candidate.

I believe that the right experience matters. There is no incumbent running since Judge Barron believes in term limits and kept his campaign promise. Two of these candidates have neither actually represented a client in court nor practiced law in a private law office. Only Jeff Davis has the right experience.

Jeff has been in practice for over 10 years and has been representing clients and practiced in every area of practice over which a Common Pleas judge presides. This includes criminal law, civil litigation, wills, estates, custody, divorce, real estate and municipal law. This is extremely important because, if elected, he can hit the ground running and be a significant help to Judge Gingrich in the everyday court operation.

I hired Jeff Davis to be an Assistant District Attorney when I was DA. I found him to be tough, fair and knowledgeable. I believe he would be the same as a judge from Day 1. I hope everyone reads Jeff's card handout which clearly shows the differences between the candidates.

I am supporting Jeff Davis for Judge because the right Experience matters. Vote on May 16.
