Biases render opinions irrelevant

In a letter published on March 21, Mr. Eric Becht lays out his charges against Trump -- Stormy Daniels, Chinese spies and so forth. If in 2024, we are to select our choice for president as the person with the fewest crimes, then the millions in Chinese money showered on the Biden family will get Trump my vote. (And, if grammatical correctness is a qualification for that office, then perhaps Kamala Harris should not bother to run.)

All this is legitimate debate material, but my alarm bell goes off when Mr. Becht slithers back into the usual Democrat vs. Republican rant (" . . . the stupidity of . . . anyone supporting (Republicans)"). To imply that all Democrats are good and all Republicans are bad (or vice versa), betrays a laziness and instinctive bias of thought that renders one's opinion irrelevant.
