Claims to impress are lost
To the Editor:
Whether or not a person does or does not eat shellfish or any other animals, which were unclean to the Israelites under the Mosaic Laws has anything to do with being a Christian, Mr. Fisher. To be a Christian, first you must believe that God always has been, is now, and always will be and that the Lord Jesus Christ is his son and that we are all sinners (which we all are) and that we can only be reconciled to God through the shed blood of his only son Jesus, and come to God in prayer and express our need and willingness to accept Jesus as our savior and a desire to live according to his will. You also have to believe that since God created all things, including us. He has the right to make the rules. If you do not believe these things, you are lost and headed to an eternity in Hell. As far as claiming you are a believer or not because he knows all things. If you are claiming to impress people, you are still lost.
You see Mr. Fisher, the law was given to man just to prove that no one can keep it entirely all the time without God's help. That is why he gave his only son to be our savior and save us from Hell. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world (his creation) that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in his should not perish (go to Hell) but have everlasting life (go to Heaven)."
If you really have questions and really want answers, I suggest you find a good Bible preaching church and go there. I can recommend Centre Union Church, 200 Greenwood Avenue, Yeagertown, PA 17099.

Doesn't Biden see
what he is doing?
It's March 10, 2023 and I'm watching Joe Biden on Bloomberg television touting how his economic policy is succeeding. I don't know if I should laugh or cry! It is so obvious the man is out of touch with reality. He really does not understand what he is doing to all of us. He belongs in long term care! I would not ride with him driving a car, why would I let him direct my financial future?
He is directly responsible for inflation. His inflation reduction act was the green new deal in disguise. What a farce! The money he pumped into the economy is the root cause for the inflation. Bloomberg reported good paying jobs are way down, low paying jobs are up. Figures don't lie, Biden figures and only reports what he wants you to hear.
More drug deaths in one year than 10 years in Vietnam. His ignoring the southern border should be the cause of death listed on all drug death certificates last year!
His complete rejection of the national debt ceiling solutions is so telling of his complete ignorance of economics! There is a limit of how much the United States can borrow and we passed it years ago. It is time to stop the madness. Reinforcing support for more IRS agents to collect revenue from the rich is ridiculous! I have talked to accounts and millionaires about the new IRS agents and all have agreed. This is a smoke screen to target the average taxpayer and will amount to a new source for tax revenue from the working class.
We are near the point when we will not be able to ask our government to clean up its mess. When our economy fails, we will take what is available and none of us will like what they're giving!
