Stephen Sellers and all you MAGA ... really need to do some self reflection if it is that you think Republicans represent Christianity. Seriously, don't make me laugh! If Jesus returned today you people would be lining the streets throwing stones at him as he carried his cross to his death.
"In my opinion anyone who claims to be a Christian and can vote for a member of a party that supports ungodly things needs to spend some serious time in Bible study and prayer," Mr. Sellers wrote. I could not agree with more!
A fresh reading of your Bible might enlighten you to the teaching of your Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
• Love your neighbor as yourself: I can not think of a concept more antithetical to the MAGA movement than this core principle of the teachings of Jesus. The limited definition of the word "neighbor" for whom you extend your love to, forever has me wondering, whom did Jesus call "illegals?"
Love my neighbor, well yeah, if they agree with you. Otherwise, "they" are your political enemies.
And if they are fleeing poverty, oppression, political retribution, hunger, we welcome you -- sort of. Feed the hungry, cloth the poor, house the homeless, give comfort to those in need ... as long as they are "real Americans" that pull themselves up by the bootstraps they don't have.
• Heal the sick only if you work for the right corporation. Healthcare only for those who can afford it. A true tenant of Christianity.
You know a few things Jesus never spoke about? Abortion, homosexuality and transgender people were ever mentioned in the New Testament. I wish you "so called Christians" would shut up about things that do not affect you nor do you need to concern yourselves with.
Agnostics like myself, have a much greater chance of ending up on the right side of those pearly gates than anyone adhering to the MAGA mentality. If you are MAGA, you are anti-Christ. Period.
