To the editor:
When I look at all that has happened in the past few years: The pandemic, the shutdowns, the election, the mandates, the wrongful incarcerations, the lies, the threats made by those in power, etc; and all that is still being put out by all the different types of news medias that may or may not happen, I have to wonder what are we to think and where can we turn for help. For there is no doubt in my mind and the minds of many others that we are living in troubled times. So where can we go for truth and guidance?
The only place that I can find absolute truth is in the word of God for His word is truth (John 17:17). Since His word is truth I can know that there will be times of troubles and persecution
(Jn. 15:20) and that He will never leave me or forsake me when these times come (Heb. 12:5). He will give me guidance(Ps. 48:14), will provide for my every need (Matt. 6:31-34), and protect me from all evil (Ps. 46:1). Because He has begun a work in me and will continue that work until the return of His son (Phil. 1:6).
No matter how bad times get I can know that He works all things for my good (Rom. 8:28). He is in control and rules over all that happens on this earth as well as what happens in heaven (Dan. 4:35). all that He has said He will do will be accomplished (Isa. 55:11). And I need to be still and know that He is God (Ps. 46:10) and trust Him and only Him.
