A good laugh

2 min read

To the editor:

Everyone needs a good laugh every now and then. I received mine reading the Sentinel editorial page on Oct. 12.

It was the cartoon of John Fetterman trick or treating and neighborhood parents did not recognize him in a suit. It was a classic image of art imitating life.

Don't be fooled, Fetterman's general uniform of a hoodie and shorts is no lie. It confirms his level of maturity. There is nothing wrong with shorts and a hoodie going to the gym but running for The United States Senate? I don't think so!

Sponging off his parents until middle age is another sign of being less than a mature responsible adult. Not paying his taxes is another.

None of these characteristics support a necessary level of responsible leadership required in the United States Senate.

His health is another issue. His hearing has been impaired due to a stroke. His mind cannot convert word sounds and must be supplemented by written words. This would definitely be problematic during Senate debates and verbal communication with constituents.

After all this I can understand why Fetterman wants to let people out of jail and to legalize marijuana. He has more in common with delinquents, incorrigibles, and criminals than he does with those now in Congress. Well, most in Congress anyway.

Vote with common sense!
