Thanks for support of Ukraine families

To the editor:

Thank you for publishing the story on the bracelet fundraiser for Ukrainian troops on Aug. 27.

A total of $1,551.86 was raised and sent to Oksana DeArment's family living in the western side of the country at war. The money has already been spent on a variety of nonperishable foods including coffee, noodles, crackers and more. Some of the money was spent on gloves and outerwear for the coming cold weather.

A total of six large boxes were delivered to DeArment's brother-in-law and his fellow soldiers. Thank you to everyone who donated money to make this happen. Peace to Ukraine!
