To the editor:
The only thing blatantly wrong being printed in The Sentinel is the left's denial of how their policies crush everyday Americans.
In 2009 there were approximately 300,000 people in the U.S. who made more than $1 million per year. In 2020 that number rose to almost 700,000. So, if the IRS hires 86,000 new agents that would be approximately eight millionaires that each new agent would have to scrutinize and probe per year.
If you're a Democrat, this may seem normal. Even at one investigation per millionaire per month, what are they doing the other four months of the year? As a Democrat you probably don't care.
The supervision is already in place at the IRS. I guess they will have to go back to their list and look at those millionaires again because according to Democrats they can't look at you and me. Please turn off your TV and look around.
What some people with short memories fail to recognize is you have been lied to by Democrats for six years through impeachments and witch hunts. The lie at hand is we need more IRS agents. This is just the latest in a long line of media-backed fairytales. The IRS may need some new agents but 86,000?
Even my critics don't know how inflation is formed and how it affects us. The left would have you believe 86,000 new IRS agents are good for America. Good for what? Harassment, litigation and uncontrolled bureaucracy. Forget the fact that they may be armed.
Defund the police but arm the tax man -- typical Democrat hypocrisy. Bureaucrats and auditors with guns. What's next, siphon hoses to get the gas out of your tank?
Don't overlook the fact that the increase in millionaires is the reason for low unemployment and rising wages. They create jobs and deserve their reward along with paying taxes. According to "The Balance" and a Beverly Bird report released in March 2022 is a fact checked report that people who earn earn $221,000 per year, pay more than half of our taxes! Now, tax and harass them until they give up and see what you're left with.
If the IRS is merely replacing potential retirees what is the $80 billion for? I'm guessing not wages. The only thing being raised by this legislation is bigger government bent on invading our privacy and checkbooks!
If $600 is the trigger for IRS inspection, stay away from the grocery stores and the gas pumps. It won't be long till this will bring you under the IRS scope. Thank a Democrat!
