Earn more, pay more

This is an answer to the letter by David L. Faust in the July 22 Sentinel.

Even with a flat rate tax that is based on one's income, the more you earn, the more you pay. For example 10% of $20,000 is $2,000 and10% of $2,000,000.00 is $200,000.00. The difference is the deductions you allow.

When it comes to corporations, they don't pay the taxes. That is always passed on to the customer. That is who ends up paying the tax. And if the corporations can't increase their price and still maintain them, customers will move to a better tax situation, cut down on their work force and put people out of work -- or go out of business and put everyone out of work.
