To the editor:
The left promotes anarchy. They welcome an increase in gun violence as a means to promote an anti-gun agenda. They willfully defund police and refuse to prosecute criminals. They order our great law enforcement officers to stand-down as our cities fall into lawlessness and squalor. Illegal immigration is out of control and they wish to abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Then, they want to take our guns away.
You can count on two fingers the Democrats who push back at all.
As much as I believe all points of view are valuable in any debate, I believe "they" are not "We the People." We want freedom. They want tyranny. We want to control our own lives. They want to control every aspect of our lives.
They don't have the guts to address the crime problem effectively by holding criminals accountable. It's easier for them to pass laws that would make "We the (law-abiding) People," criminals. They want to abolish constitutional rights to enact their socialist plan. Anarchy is their vehicle.
They want federal law to trump states' rights, but not when it comes to gun rights. The Second Amendment ensures our right to bear (carry) arms. Many neighboring states around Pennsylvania and others have already stripped us of that constitutional right by not allowing law-abiding out of state Americans to bring a firearm into their state. Our Second Amendment has already been infringed upon in that way, and many others. Carry permits issued by any state should be recognized by all states just as state-issued drivers' licenses have always been. The Constitution is the supreme law of the land. Criminals play the odds and know that an out of state license plate is likely an easier target.
Criminals commit crimes, not guns. Condoning anarchy increases criminal behavior. Having the means to defend yourself when traveling out of state should not be a crime.
