To the editor:
This past week, two of our local liberals have had letters to the editor'' published by The Sentinel.
Both their letters supposedly addressed the "LIES" by which the Republican voters support their representatives. One of the liberals actually stated, "show me a Republican and I will show you a fool or a liar!"
It is amazing that liberals' ideas and concepts are so biased that I believe that they do not actually look at the pertinent information dealing with a policy because of their biased feelings toward conservatives and their opposing ideas.
Many times these liberals utilize only minimum points of a politician's actions instead of evaluating the entire action. For instance, the second liberal writer stated that Trump stated that Putin interference in the 2020 election was "fake news." Trump's reference to "fake news" in the 2020 election was directed at the presently proven and going to trial interference of Hillary Clinton and her team in that election. These liberals "cherry picking'' of specific points drive their invalid ideas.
Liberals utilizing of "cherry picking'' is evident with the recent leaking of the Supreme Court's draft of a document dealing with a possible future decision on abortion. The Democrats' untrue statement that the Supreme Court is going to make abortions illegal is a blatant lie.
The result of what the Supreme Court is proposing would return the decision of abortion back to each individual state. This would allow each individual state's citizenship to vote on whether to make abortion legal or illegal. The United States of America is a republic.
The definition of a republic is a state or nation in which the supreme power is held by the citizens and their elected representatives. By returning the decision of abortion back to each state, the process of a republic would be legitimately allowed to occur. Presently, nine unelected officials decide the fate of abortion. What is wrong with applying the concept of a republic in deciding this issue?
Are the Democrats afraid to allow the American citizenship to decide this issue?
I believe that much of our supported Republican policies are based on the ethics and morals taught to us by our religious backgrounds. I believe that abortion is the murder of a human being.
Utilizing my belief on abortion and implementing the same type of conservative bias just as the liberals use their liberal bias, I view the many protests by all these Democratic supporters as not protests of a potential Supreme Court decision, but I view these gatherings as celebrations of murdering babies.
This is baffling to me, why do so many human beings expel and generate so much energy into the concept of murdering our future human beings? Question: Can the action of abortion be categorized as an act of love or an act of evil?
