To the editor:
Can you hear it? I have. I have seen it in The Sentinel and across the United States. The progressive pendulum has reached it's apex and is on the road to the scrap yard where it belongs.
When your policies have failed completely, what do you do? When you have nothing to talk about, what do you say? You have nothing constructive to say, you cannot crow about your accomplishments. What you do is, point fingers and repeat the same old worthless rhetoric.
The hard left progressives, what used to be Democrats, are failing so badly all they can do is beat Trump up some more, defend killing fetuses, ignore the crime wave in America and somehow complain the Jan. 6 convictions and jail terms are somehow not enough punishment!
The progressive movement is dying and we are witness to the contortions, and cadaveric spasms of their complete failure. The funeral will be in November. No flowers please. The sooner they are gone and true Democrats return the better we will all be.
An example of what I am speaking of is in reference to Mr. Becht's letters in The Sentinel on May 20 and 25. I asked a few people what they thought of his letters. Most said they look at the name before they read and in his case they skip it. I did read it, with some amusement. Attempting to deflect the real subject with an insult was clever but typical progressive deflection of the real subject.
Most all of my references to the LGBTQ fraction of society have been in response to what in "my" opinion are insane, anti social and sometimes dangerous conduct by individuals and in some cases institutions. Namely men in women's sports, more than two genders and genital mutilation! I have always maintained adults may live as they wish. Nothing aggravates people more than when children are threatened with adult ideas. Forget Mr. Becht's references to Disney and look at the Indiana legislative override of their governor's veto to allow boys in girls sports! (Common sense at last!) Read the paper on school board meetings. Read up on why parents are mad at what is being exposed to their children! I receive daily requests from friends neighbors and people I don't know on the street to respond to the bizarre inane letters you and Mr. Fisher habitually submit. Take your own advice and I quote:
"What you think is just that... your thoughts! If you have a problem with how others live their lives, here is a suggestion, keep it to yourself!"
Remember you are in a fractional minority. You are entitled to your thoughts and ideas. However the majority doesn't want to hear from what in your words are the "the exceeding rare and marginalized trans community." You have made it out of the closet, that's great. Just stay away from the minds of children until they are finished growing and old enough to make informed decisions on their own.
