Where would you draw the line, Mr. Becht?

To the editor:

Usually I try to keep my responses to the point and not deal with delusions. But today, I need to object to an absurd defense made by Mr. Becht where he would defend Lia Thomas, a male in full possession of his birth genitalia competing against females in athletic events. He adds to the transgender fallacy by his referral to that male swimming competitor as she and her. Mr. Becht falls into the trap set by left-wing indoctrinators when he confuses gender with sex as if they are the same.

It matters not how many competitors were competing, their standing at the end of competition or the records broken for that has nothing whatsoever to do with this matter as long as we can measure competitions as being unslanted and fair. Mr. Becht misses that point. The competition he is referring to is created selectively for women, not coed. Mr. Thomas is a trespasser, a male invading the games designed for the competition between women.

What is the next step, Mr. Becht? Would you be OK if in a female wrestling or boxing competition it would be allowed for a man to compete against women, even knocking a few them out of the ring? Or how about other heretofore restricted competitions?

The system has become irrational for it now caters to fantasies rather than reality. When a physical male is permitted to compete against women in events simply by stating he is female then I suggest it is not only the transgender that is confused but also those advocates who support the interlopers claim as well. If anyone is "manufacturing" outrage it is those who would manufacture and then force upon others transgenderism, a social construct … as if a right.

The idiocy goes even further when a male claiming to be trans is transferred to a women's prison for a crime he committed which is not only dangerous but a complete disregard for the safety of the female populace. A good example of that absurdity is the recent fact of two women found to be pregnant in a women's prison. And who impregnated them? Yes, it was a transgender male even though supposedly he was on female hormones. It is also fact that there have been a number of assaults committed in women's prisons by so-called transgenders who are physically male in all respects.

Where, Mr. Becht, would you draw the line?
