I vote 'no' to Democrats' march toward socialism

To the editor:

Yes, Mr. Becht, I am one of those you accuse of being 'The 'NO' people! I say no for I refuse to accept:

Open borders; COVID mandates; higher gas prices; CRT; brainwashing of our kids by school administrators pushing deviant indoctrination in place of actual education; illegal voters; non-elected bureaucrats imposing mandated directives in opposition to a citizen's free will of expression. I could go on and on.

Each of those points you raised were not at all surprising for they followed the yellow brick road down the path of socialistic ventures. But then that is your ideology: continually shove down the throats of the ignorant the destructive socialist failures as if manna from heaven. Your hateful rhetoric offers nothing in tune with the values upon which our republic was founded.

You really did not state a clear stance in regard to the travesty ongoing in the Ukraine but again simply advanced your false accusations. I for one, a conservative, do align with the effort of the Ukranian people to survive the invasion and threats of the former KGB agent, Putin -- a power broker socialist and still one. That does not mean I would want our troops to be sent to fight a war on foreign soil. I think our involvement should be no more than the same given to the UK when we supplied material to them under the Lend Lease Program during the early stages of WWII. To aid an ally is one thing but to be lured into a conflict with those who have no treaty alignments or obligations with us is another.

That, sir, does not mean I do not care, nor does it allow those of your kind to assume I am in total accord or disagreement with one political party or the other. But then I am not at all sure where the leftist Democrat party actually stands so it would be very difficult for me to argue in opposition to their vague stances in the first place. I would suspect though that I would once again be a 'NO' voter.

It does confuse me why the limitation on sanctions imposed by Biden. Perhaps if those sanctions were included to thwart the sale of Russia's most profitable export, oil and associated products, I might not think some hanky-panky is taking place in the back rooms where Biden Jr. does his business.

And then I ask myself why has the price of gas exploded when there is no appreciable disruption of gas supplies, either domestic or imported, have occurred? Why is it that our capped oil wells are still shut, but ready to produce if need be and stabilize the price of a gallon, when they could provide not only the replacement of the 8% of Russian imported oil but bring us back to being an exporter rather than a beggar of oil from Russian, Iranian and Venezuelan tyrants?

Yes, Mr. Becht, I oppose your progressive socialistic ideology for it diminishes the value and rights of the individual all the while creating a demand for the furtherance of a controlled socialistic society. I vote 'NO', loud and clear.
