Political versus biblical truth

There seem to be two truths in America. One is the political truth. The other is biblical truth.

The political truth is a series of manufactured lies disguised as truth to influence and control people’s behavior. Which is slavery. The biblical truth is God showing us through his word how to walk with him and recognize the patterns of his revelation throughout history. Thus freeing us from the slavery of not only sin, but the lies told by the political.

But the problem with biblical truth in America is that is has been corrupted by both sides of the political spectrum. The church seems to be in a delusional state of mind. Not only is our country split, so is the church.

There are churches practicing Christian Progressivism and churches practicing Christian Nationalism. Both ignoring biblical truth and making it conform to their own personal and national political views. There are false teachings, false prophets and conspiracy theorist tickling everyone’s ears. Why do you want to be a slave to politicians who only lie and pander to you for your vote to gain or retain power?

I’m not saying that you shouldn’t participate in our democracy. I believe all citizens should. But when democracy becomes an object of worship or a means to justify immoral behavior, you might want to reevaluate your priorities.

There is a way to true freedom. But it’s a narrow road to travel. It requires real courage because people, both secular and non-secular, will detest you. All you have to do is surrender yourself to the will of God through Jesus Christ, who is the real truth. This truth will set you free. Any takers?
