To the editor:
First of all, I'd like to say I'm a retired steelworker, so I'm not real smart about politics. This is just my opinion on some things.
It is factual that President Trump is probably the most hated person in the world because of the things that come out of his mouth. But you don't vote for a politician because you don't like him or her, you vote for them for what they can do for you and the country.
The held up a piece of paper one evening on TV with seven or eight major things that Mr. Trump said he would do -- he did them in three and one-half years despite all the hatred.
He had the country headed in the right direction until the virus hit. He got criticized for how he handled it, but truth be told, nobody else probably would have done any better. He didn't do any worse than the other countries did; but like everything he's done, whether good or not, he never got any credit for it because of the hatred poeple had for him.
There was even a saying going around that if he would have found a cure for cancer, certain people would have ridiculed him for that.
I talked to a person this summer and I said, at least he has the best-looking wife to be first lady. This person then says that he thought that when Hillary was made up, she was just as nice.
On that note, I'm ending this letter.
