Popular culture has two competing narratives about manhood. Charlie Kirk rejected both of them and set an example that young men should follow. The dominant view is that masculinity is toxic. Like clockwork, efforts to weaken public notice requirements appear before the state’s legislature routinely. The proposed alternatives often are flawed and often would make a system that has worked for generations weaker, not stronger. Requiring boards and councils that need to be accountable to the public to be accessible to the public is tantamount. We found an interaction on social media last week worth noting. As the Sun-Gazette reported in Tuesday’s edition — and also shared on social media platforms — firefighters rescued a woman from a housefire on Race Street in the early hours of Monday.
