Myrle Margaret Madtes

Myrle Margaret Madtes, 91, of Reedsville, passed away at 10 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024, at her home. Born July 1, 1932, in Andreas, Schuylkill County, she was a daughter of the late Clair and Verna (Gilbert) Messerschmidt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Paul Clayton Madtes Sr. Myrle is survived by: children, Brenda (Duane) Coulter, of Reedsville, and Dr. Paul C. Patricia L. Seiders, 42, of Mifflintown, died Jan. 26, 2024. Surviving are her parents, Ralph and Dorothy (Zook) O’Donnell and one daughter, Jasmine Evener. There is no service. Guss Funeral Home, Inc. is assisting the family.

M. Ann Singleton, 89, of Lewistown, passed away Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital. Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, is in charge of arrangements, which will be announced upon completion.

Roger L. Beasom, 39, of Mifflintown, died unexpectedly on Jan. 25, 2024. Born April 5, 1984, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Michael Beasom and Betty (Mellinger) Beasom Kuhn. He is survived by his significant other, Brandi Ranck, two sons, Lee Beasom and Greyson Beasom, and one brother, Michael C. Beasom and girlfriend, Peggy Hockenberry, of Richfield. Roger graduated from Juniata High School and worked at Darlings Rendering Plant, Mifflintown. He was a member of the Mifflintown American Legion. Susan C. (Grassmyer) Harshbarger, 79, of East Charlest St., Lewistown, entered into eternal rest, Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024. Born Feb. 23, 1944, in McVeytown, she was preceded in death by her parents, Susan E. (Betty) and Robert Grassmyer, Sr. of McVeytown. Her loving husband, Larry E. Harshbarger, preceded her in death, just a few short weeks ago. Surviving are her three daughters: Sonia D. Singh, Holly S. Fultz and husband, Scott, Marci E.
