Robert O. "Bob" Dunn, 83, of Honey Grove, passed away at 3:02 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 2, 2026 at Premier at Perry Village, New Bloomfield.
Born on Jan. 14, 1943 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, he was a son of the late D. Orville and Esther M. (Worrall) Dunn.
Surviving are his children, Robert L. Dunn and his wife, Virginia, of East Waterford, Nina P. Dunn, of Honey Grove, Deb Stoll, of Wellsville, William I. Dunn, of Mifflin. He is also survived by grandchildren, Curtis Dunn and Joseph Stoll, and a great granddaughter, Kinsley, as well as various nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeffrey E. Dunn, two sisters Kathleen E. "Sis" Parson, Sandra I. "Sandy" Sherlock and two brothers, Lynn E. Dunn and Gary E. Dunn.
Bob was employed as a truck driver, which he loved doing, driving for Gloss Lumber, Mifflin Chevron, where he also helped work on the Casner "33" race car, Milliken's Trucking, Nevin White Trucking and Ramsey's Trucking. He enjoyed talking with his friends and hanging out at the Bargain Barn every Sunday, mowing the grass, family get-togethers but, most of all spending time with his family, especially the grandkids. Bob was a very good mechanic and kept his vehicles spotless. He also liked to hang out at his son, Bobby's garage.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, Nov. 6, 2026 at 10 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge Street, Mifflintown. Interment will follow at East Waterford Cemetery in East Waterford. A visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
