Mary I. Sweitzer, 75, of Lewistown, passed away on Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, at the Embassy of Hearthside in State College.
Born Nov. 11, 1950, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Pearl (Renninger) Corbin.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Knepp.
She is survived by her children, Steve Sweitzer, Scott Sweitzer and wife, Lisa, Shane Sweitzer and wife, Melinda, and Sam Sweitzer, all of Lewistown; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
A 1968 graduate of Rothrock High School, Mary was a faithful member of Pine Glen Church of the Brethren. She dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker and found great companionship in her beloved cat, Cork.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, 2026, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor Buck Carolus officiating.
Interment will take place at Pine Glen Cemetery.
