Deborah Vee Baughman

Deborah Vee Baughman, 76, of Reedsville, passed away on Friday, Oct. 30, 2026, at her home.

Born on Aug. 30, 1950, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Vernida (Clark) Snyder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Williams.

Deb is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, George Baughman, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, companionship, and treasured memories; her three beloved sons, Douglas Baughman and wife, Dana, of Mechanicsburg, Nicholas Baughman and wife, Alicia, of Yeagertown, and Thomas Baughman and wife, Kelly Noll, of Reedsville; her eight cherished grandchildren, Coby Long, Chloe Baughman, Addison Baughman, Juliana Baughman, Nicholas Baughman, Jr., Thalia Baughman, Aldavee Baughman, and Annika Baughman; and two precious great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Dawn Rogers, of Florida, and Linda Sheetz, of Yeagertown.

Earlier in life, Deb was a member of Yeagertown United Methodist Church.

To know Deb was to know a woman whose heart was filled with an extraordinary capacity for love. She was a devoted wife, a wonderful mother, and a grandmother whose greatest happiness came from the family she held so dear. Her life was a beautiful reflection of selflessness, compassion, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She gave of herself freely and wholeheartedly, always placing the happiness and well-being of her family before her own.

Perhaps one of the most remarkable reflections of Debás loving spirit was her decision to open her heart and home to 18 foster children throughout her life. Her kindness and generosity extended far beyond her own family, offering love, comfort, and a sense of belonging to children who needed it most. For Deb, motherhood was more than a role; it was a calling that she embraced with an abundance of patience, tenderness, and unconditional love.

Deb also enjoyed painting, a pastime that allowed her to express her creativity and appreciation for life's simple beauties. Yet, nothing brought her greater joy than being surrounded by those she loved. Her children were her pride, and her grandchildren held an especially treasured place in her heart.

Although her passing leaves an immeasurable emptiness in the hearts of those who loved her, Debás legacy is one that will endure for generations. It lives on in the children she raised, the lives she touched, the family she nurtured, and the countless memories made beautiful simply because she was part of them. She will be remembered not only for the remarkable woman she was, but for the extraordinary love she gave so freely. Her family was her greatest blessing, and being loved by her was surely one of theirs.

A funeral service in loving memory of Deb will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, 2026, at King Funeral Home and Crematory, 47 Carriage House Lane, Reedsville, with Pastor Mike Bailey officiating. A viewing will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Burial will follow at Mt. Rock Cemetery.
