William G. Finkenbiner, 92, of Lewistown, passed away at his home on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026.
He was born on Oct. 6, 1933, in Lewistown, to the late Elmer A. and Sarah E. (Corbin) Finkenbiner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Greg Finkenbiner, daughter: Luon Noc Finkenbiner; brothers: Robert B. Finkenbiner and wife, Lilly, Richard E. Finkenbiner and wife, Marcia, sister-in-law: Polly Finkenbiner, and step-granddaughter: Ella Grace Yoder.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy G. (Yoder) Finkenbiner; sons: Scott Finkenbiner, Mark Finkenbiner and wife, Barbara, step-son Christopher (Billy) Barnett and wife, Lisa, all of Texas; step-children: Curtis L. Yoder and wife, Stephanie of Lewistown; Chad M. Yoder and wife, Jaclyn of McVeytown; Craig D. Yoder and wife, Erica of Montoursville; step-grandchildren: Blake, Hannah, Conner, Sadie, Adalena, Noralyn and Camden Yoder, Jacob and Autumn Lowenstein; brother, Kenneth N. Finkenbiner of Houston, Texas and several nieces and nephews.
Bill was a former Boy Scout leader in Frankston, Texas.
Bill served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was a very proud American. He was owner and operator of Finkenbiner Clock Repair for more than 46 years. He was also the author and operator of the correspondence school, National Clock Makers Institute. He served as Mifflin County Commissioner from 1984 to 1991. He retired from the clock business in 2015.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, attending their sports events and school programs.
The family would like to thank the staff of Bristol Hospice for their great care.
Honoring his wishes, a graveside service will be held at Juniata Memorial Park on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026 at 11 a.m., with Pastor Mike Bailey officiating.
