Teresa Kay Tate, 74, of Burnham, passed away Friday, Oct. 3, 2026, at William Penn Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lewistown.
Born Sept. 23,1952, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Eugene N. and Joan (Haywood) Purcell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Warren Tate; and her brother, Mark Purcell
She is survived by her children, Nate Tate and companion, Tiffiany Britt, of Reedsville, and Shawn Tate and wife, Melissa, of Burnham; siblings, Neil Purcell, of Yeagertown, Ann Clark and husband, Barry, of Yeagertown; grandchildren, Brock Tate and companion, Clarissa Kepner, of Lewistown, Teeg Tate and companion, Macy Fike, of Burnham; great-grandchild, Bennington Tate, of Lewistown; and a sister-in-law Ann Purcell, of Texas.
Teresa worked as a secretary for Lewistown Hospital for many years.
She was a graduate of Chief Logan High School.
More than anything, Teresa lived for her family. Her greatest joy was found in her children, her grandchildren, and especially her great-grandson, each one a bright part of her world.
A receiving of friends will be held from 2 to 3 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, 108 First Avenue in Burnham.
A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Birch Hill Cemetery with Reverend Ken Longfield.
