Stephen R. Ayres, 79, of Lewistown, passed away Monday, Oct. 19, 2026, at his home.
Born July 19, 1947, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Thomas J. and Evelyn (Clifford) Ayres.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle A. (Folk) Ayres; children, Ryan C. Ayres and wife, Billie Jo; grandchildren, Sean Ayers and wife, Zoe, and Christopher Ayres; great-grandchildren, Aidan, Ireland, Kendal, and Maya.
Following high school, Stephen served in the United States Army Reserves. He later worked as a driver for Call-A-Ride, where he dedicated many years of service.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
