Sherri Lynn Mitchell, 71, of Lewistown, passed away Monday, Oct. 26, 2026, at Locust Grove in Mifflin.
Born June 10, 1955, in Centre County, she was the daughter of the late Jim Gingher and JoAnne Crossley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Mitchell; children, Stacey Madera, Jerome Mitchell; and a brother Robert Crossley Sr.
She is survived by a daughter, Cindy Mitchell and fiancé, Stephen Smith, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Nathan Mitchell, Ashley Mitchell, Samantha Mitchell, Shea Madera; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Greyson, Kale, Anthony, and Janson; and a brother, Richard Crossley, of Lewistown.
Sherri attended the Moose Lodge and enjoyed playing bingo at the local firehouse. She loved listening to live music at county fairs, especially performances by the Blackwater Band. She also found great enjoyment in crocheting and treasured the time spent with her family and friends.
Services are private and held at the convenience of the family.
