Scott A. Schrader

Scott A. Schrader, 55, passed away suddenly on Oct. 18, 2026.

He was born April 14, 1971 in Lewistown. He was the son of the late Mildred (Dolly) Bickel and James Bickel and Carl Schrader and the late Vera Schrader.

He attended West Snyder High School.

Scott always lived life on the edge. Throughout his life, he had a passion for farming and trucking which carried him across the country. He covered many miles but always seemed to return home. His love of trucking later led him to become an ASE certified diesel technician working on big rigs, which led to him becoming an asistant manager for a truck stop. As he aged, his passion for farming took over which led him to work on various farms throughout the area. Seeking job stability, he later became a fork-lift operator for various companies, most recently working for Niagara Bottling Company. Scott hoped to one day raise cattle on his own farm. He had a great sense of humor and was a hard worker.

In his spare time he enjoyed watching and participating in tractor pulls as well as cooking. He was quite the food critic, nobody's cooking was as good as his own. He was part of the Buffalo Valley Antique Machinery Association and the Middlecreek Valley Antique Association, where he square danced with the Middlecreek Tractor Swingers.

Scott is survived by sister, Brenda Jones and Mike Stender; sister, Amy Bickel; sister, Kerri and Dave Quaglia; step-sister, Tina and Craig Wheeler; step-brother, Clark Bickhart; step-brother, Jerry and Nancy Bickhart; step-sister, Kathy and Mike Snyder; and many nieces and nephews. Scott is also survived by his companion, Kara Green, and her three children.

Scott was preceded in death by numerous grandparents, aunts and uncles.
