Michael C. Sweitzer, 59, of McVeytown, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026, at his home.
Born Oct. 28, 1966, in Lewistown, he was the son of Code Sweitzer and his wife, Pat, and Janice (Paige-Doyle) Miller and her husband, Terry.
Mike was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Fred and Ruth Doyle, and his paternal grandparents, Code and Sarah Sweitzer, and his sister, Stacy Sweitzer.
He is survived by his son, Chad Weaver and his wife, Caite, of Milroy; his beloved grandson, Gunnar Weaver; his brother, Jeffrey Sweitzer and his wife, Michele, of McVeytown; his step-brother, J. Rex Naylor and his wife, Rachelle, of Lewistown; his step-sister, Andrea Parker, of Lewistown, and nephews, Dakhota Sweitzer, of Etters, and Cade Sweitzer, of McVeytown.
Mike proudly and faithfully served his country in the United States Army. He was a 1984 graduate of Lewistown Area High School. He found simple enjoyment in life, particularly spending time outdoors and fishing, a pastime he truly loved.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to King-Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.
