Mary R. Miller, 86, of Lewistown, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2026, at her home.
Born on Aug. 3, 1940, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Homer Parks Sr. and Virginia (Cave) Parks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Homer Parks Jr., Robert Parks, Arthur Parks, Martha Reihart, Betty Carl and Vera Casner. Mary was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Frank Miller Sr., of Lewistown; her children, Frank Miller Jr., and his wife, Gina, of Lewistown, Timothy Miller and his wife, Stephanie, of Mill Creek, and Shad Miller, of Mechanicsburg; her grandchildren, Teague Miller and his wife, Freda, Emily Miller, Sara Miller, Taylor Bailey and her husband, Damon, Ava Miller, and Brynn Miller; and her great-grandson, Cody Ray Miller.
Throughout her life, Mary worked as a home health aide before spending many years on the road as a truck driver alongside her husband, Frank, from 1993 until 2016. She took great pride in caring for her home and keeping it clean, and she was a phenomenal cook who brought love to the table through her meals. Above all, Mary cherished the time she spent with her beloved grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart.
Mary's wish was that those who loved her would remember her for the life she lived rather than the loss of her passing. Honoring her wishes, services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to King-Barr Funeral Home LLC, 120 Logan St., Lewistown.
