Jennie M. Goss, of McClure, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026.
Born July 3, 1934, in McClure, she is the daughter of the late Clark and Ida P. (Lindsey) Aitkins.
Jennie was welcomed into eternity by many loved ones who went before her in addition to her parents, her husband, Max E. Goss, who passed May 30, 2006; a daughter, Maxine Leeper; grandson, Jeremiah Goss; five brothers, Harry Worrell, Cleon, Clark Aitkins, Ray Aitkins, Robert W. Aitkins; two sisters, June Railing, Rose Baumgardner.
She is survived by her children, Randy Goss and companion, Lavella Burson, of Oklahoma, Duane Goss and wife, Deborah, of McClure, Glen Goss and wife, Thelma, of McClure; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren.
A woman of quiet faith, Jennie was a member of the Evangelical Methodist Church in Lewistown.
In her earlier years, she worked as a seamstress at Cluett Peabody, Scotty's Fashions, and Kirby's, and also spent time working at American Viscose. Her work was steady and skillful, the kind done with careful hands and a dependable heart.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. with Mr. Terry Yoder officiating.
Interment will take place at Samuel's Cemetery in McClure.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Jennie's caregivers from In-Home Services. Their kind support and diligent care made it possible for Jennie's family to keep her comfortable in her home, just as she had wished.
