J. Yost Hostetler, 84, of Reedsville, passed away on Monday, Oct. 5, 2026 at his home.
Born on June 10, 1942, in Reedsville, he was the son of the late Yost Y. and Emma L. (Hostetler) Hostetler. On Feb. 4, 1964, he married Nancy Y. (Hostetler) Hostetler, who survives at their home.
Also surviving are children: Franey N. Isbell and husband, Lyle, of Washington, Emma L. Speicher and husband, Joel, of K.Y., Simeon J. Hostetler and wife, Katie S. (Yoder), of Reedsville, Yost J. Hostetler and wife, Martha A. (Yoder), of Reedsville, Elizabeth K. Hostetler and husband, Isaac R., of Palmyra, ME, Rudy N. Hostetler and wife, Rebecca A. (Yoder), of Reedsville; 20 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lena R. (Hostetler) Yoder, of McClure.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Hannas Y. Hostetler and a sister: Elizabeth Hostetler.
Yost was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
A viewing will be held Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, and Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at his residence, 8107 East Back Mountain Road, Reedsville. A funeral will be held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2026, at his residence with the home ministers officiating. Burial will take place at Back Mountain Cemetery, Milroy, Pa.
