Donald H. Kauffman, 82, of Furnace Road, McVeytown, passed away on Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.
Born Jan. 13, 1944, in Mattawana, he was a son of the late Calvin R. and Mary Margaret (Huffman) Kauffman. His wife, Cheryl (McClellan) Kauffman, whom he married March 31, 1964, survives.
Also surviving are: three children, Wayne Kauffman and wife, Kim, of Burnham, Dawn Kephart and husband, Clint, of Carlisle, William Kauffman and wife, Laurie, of McVeytown; four siblings, Shirley "Jean" Adams, of Mattawana, Connie Grove and husband, Melvin, of McVeytown, Bradley "Doc" Kauffman and wife, Ann, of Ryde, Sandra "Sue" Kauffman, of Lewistown; eight grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings, Robert "Peanut" Kauffman, Richard Kauffman, Linda Grove, Betty Price, and William "Bill" Kauffman.
A truck driver for many years, he retired from Eastern Industries.
He enjoyed hunting in his younger years, and was a member of the Sand Flat Camp in Licking Creek.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2026, at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown, with Pastor Robert Lenning officiating, as well as his brother, Bradley "Doc" Kauffman speaking.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
