Carol Lee Potts, 73, of Lewistown, passed away Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born Jan. 3, 1953, in Lewistown, she is the daughter of the late John F. and Louise (Baxter) Burkett.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Harold, Andrew, Paul, and Robert Burkett, and Martha Rupert.
She is survived by her husband, John Edward "Jack" Potts; son, John F. Blewett; grandchildren, Kaylee and Logan Blewett, Nathan and Matthew Zook, Nicholas Yurcho; great-granddaughters, Hallie Mae and Nora; and a sister, Ann Royer, of Lewistown.
Carol was a longtime member of the VFW Auxiliary, where she served on the board for many years and devoted herself to supporting veterans and their families. She worked as a preschool teacher with Head Start, where she later retired.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 21 S. Main St., Lewistown, with Father John Harwood officiating.
