Brenda C. Stein, 78, of Milroy, passed away Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026, at her home.
Born Dec. 29, 1947, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late John O. Mayes Jr. and Betty J. (Shugerts) Mayes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard Pennebaker.
She was survived by her companion, Dennis Zook, of Milroy; children, Heather Hunter and husband, Tab, Danielle Stein, Carrie Wagner and husband, Michael, all of Milroy; grandchildren, Alyssa, Hayden, Charli Jo, Conner, Garren, Madelyn; great-grandchildren, Nixxon, Keiran, Lincoln; siblings, Alma J. Griffith and husband, Jerry, of Reedsville, Gayla Stahler and husband, David, of Florida, Jacqueiline Stonesifer, of Belleville, Gina White, of Milroy.
Services are private and held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Burnham.
