Barbara Mae Huff, 89, of Lewistown, passed away Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born April 27, 1937, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Harry F. and Mildred (Marker) Bennett.
In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl H. Weyant; her infant brother, Leroy Bennett; her brother, Nelson Bennett; and her sister, Mildred "Dolly" Wilson.
She is survived by her husband, Richard E. Huff; children, Cynthia A. Wagner and husband, Samuel, of Atlanta, Ga., Craig A. Weyant and wife, Bonnie, of Youngsville, N.C.; stepchildren, Cindy K. Kiser, of Forest, Va., Christine D. Greene and husband, Charles, of Tampa, Fla., Richard M. Huff, of Reedsville, Julie L. Sward and husband, Brian, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Taryn, Ashtyn, Jordyn, Hailey; step-grandchildren, Ryan, Katie, Justine, Lauren, and Lindsey; and a sister, Shirley Rivera, of Camp Hill.
A woman of deep and steady faith, Barb was a devoted and active member of Calvary Bible Church. For 55 years, she taught children's Sunday school, sang in the choir, and faithfully served in the church food bank. She was also involved in the After 5 Club, where she formed lasting friendships and shared her love of fellowship. Barb often said that her greatest achievements were the births of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, blessings she cherished with her whole heart. Today, her faith has become her sight.
She was a Lewistown High School graduate, Class of 1955. After graduation she worked for the FBI. She later returned home to Lewistown, where she built a long and dedicated 44-year career with Russell National Bank.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday Oct. 9, 2026, at Calvary Bible Church, 100 Calvary Lane Lewistown, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor Bob Marsh officiating.
Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.
Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
