Melissa D. Liddick, 52, of Lewistown, passed away Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa.
Born May 3, 1974, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late William A. Kurtz Sr. and Elizabeth A. (Clontz) Kurtz, who survives.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, William E. Liddick Jr.; her children, Bailey Smouse and husband, Austin, of Lewistown, Caden Liddick and companion Allysa Cooper, of Yeagertown; siblings, William Kurtz Jr. and wife Tammy, of Belleville, Julie Leishman and husband Bill, of Tennessee.
She was a 1992 graduate of Juniata Valley High School. She worked as a packaging inspector at Alltrista Plastics LLC in Reedsville.
She loved spending time with her husband and children and their dog, Rem.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, with Pastor Randy Traxler officiating.
Interment will take place at Mount Rock Cemetery.
