Mary C. Gill, 82, of Lewistown, passed away Sept. 21, 2026, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born June 8, 1944, in Allensville, she was the daughter of the late Ernest C. and Lillian C. (Rhodes) Patton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Gill; son, Ernest Hesketh III; and Paul and John Patton.
She is survived by her step-children, Denise Hackenberry and husband, Doug, of Pen Argyl, and Donald Gill, of Lewistown; a sister, Ruth Pennepacker, of Reedsville; niece, Alberta Pennepacker, and a nephew, Melvin Pennepacker.
Mary was a 1962 graduate of Kishacoquillas High School.
She worked for 25 years on the assembly line at Hanover Foods. Later, she spent 14 years driving a van for J&D's.
Mary's special friend, Donna, would like to extend her heartfelt thanks to all the nurses and staff who cared for Mary over the past 15 years.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026, at Lind Memorial Cemetery, with Pastor Randy Traxler officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary's name to a charity of one's choice.
