Linda S. Wheeler, 78, of Lewistown, passed away peacefully on Sept. 16, 2026, at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
Linda is survived by her husband of 45 years, Thomas Wheeler; her daughters, Malinda Knepp and Heather Weiser, and their respective families; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her siblings, nieces, and nephews, and joins her late parents, sister, and beloved dog in eternal rest.
Linda loved reading, gardening, and trips to the ocean. She was always her grandchildren’s biggest fan at their musical and sporting events.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026 at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home located at 108 First Avenue, Burnham. This will be followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. officiated by Pastor Jeannine Leister.
Private interment will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
