James E. Bailey, Jr., 64, of Milroy, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026.
Born on Aug. 12, 1962, in Frankfurt, Germany, he was the son of the late James E. Bailey Sr. and Erica A. (Schmidt) Bailey. On Oct. 20, 1984, he married Brenda L. (Knepp) Bailey, who preceded him in death on Sept. 22, 2020.
Surviving are children: Carina L. Zook and husband, Mark Lee, of McVeytown, Jessica L. Gamble and husband, Nathaniel, of Hortense, GA; four grandchildren: Keyin F. Zook, Kinci H. Zook, Melina T. Gamble, Maria M. Gamble; siblings: Nicole Hicks and husband, Toby, of Mount Union; John Bailey and wife, Nancy, of Huntingdon; Jeff Bailey and wife, Grace, of Yuma, AZ; and Jerry Bailey and Pam Ayers, of Huntingdon.
James graduated in 1980 from Huntingdon Area High School. Following high school, he served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He was self-employed and did forestry and timber work for the local Amish, as well as other services.
He attended Fairview Bible Church.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and collected coins and old models.
There will be a viewing on Friday, Sept. 4, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Henderson-Bohn Funeral Home, 6880 SR 655, Reedsville. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at Woodlawn Cemetery. Buddy Baird will officiate the graveside service.
