Catherine G. "Cathy" Pavlic, 68, of Altoona, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026.
She was born in Tyrone, a daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Irene (Boughamer) Krepps. After the untimely passing of her parents, she was raised by the late Robert Kimberling Sr. and Doris (Zanghi) Kimberling, who survives.
On Aug. 27, 1983, at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Tyrone, she married Timothy Pavlic, who survives. Also surviving is a son, Tyke Pavlic and his wife, Ashley Latz-Pavlic; a granddaughter, Zelda Isabelle Pavlic; and brothers-in-law, Joseph III (Ann) and Dennis W. Pavlic.
She was preceded in death by three siblings, Robert Kimberling Jr., Judson Kimberling and Melissa Kimberling; a half sister, Ruth Kimberling; dear friend, Maranda Burtton; and mother and father figures, Barry and Marlene Halbritter.
Cathy was a 1976 graduate of Tyrone Area High School and had an associate's degree in business.
She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd. She was a secretary with IUPAT 411 and the owner/president of CIC Concessions. She was the president of the now-closed Cross's Ice Cream, a member of the City Hook and Ladder in Lewistown, the Western Showmen's Association, Manheim Township Fire & Rescue in Lancaster County, Columbia Fire Company Association in Osceola Mills, where she also helped with fish fries, and the Kiwanis Club of Lewistown. She was also the curator and partner of the former Fame Co. Firehouse, now a museum in Lewistown.
As the owner of CIC Concessions, she was known as the "Lemonade Lady" or the "Lemonade Queen." She and her husband worked the Tyrone food truck events and other community events. They traveled throughout the state to attend and work many county fairs and community events.
In her small window of time off, she enjoyed doing crafts and planting her garden.
An 11 a.m. funeral service for Catherine G. "Cathy" Pavlic will be held Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Tyrone.
Friends will be received Thursday, Sept. 25, 2026, at Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. from 5 to 8 p.m. and at the Church of the Good Shepherd on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service.
Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park.
