Brenda Lee Varner, 58, of McVeytown, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, surrounded by her two children.
Born on April 29, 1968, in Sunnyvale, Calif., to Robert Lee Ross and Karen Lee (Flynn) Ross. As the daughter of a proud military family, she spent much of her childhood traveling throughout Europe, including time in Italy, Austria, and Germany. After returning to the United States, she attended Princess Anne Highschool in Virginia Beach, Va. On Nov. 26, 1994, Brenda married David W. Varner Jr in McVeytown, Pa.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lee Ross.
She is survived by her mother Karen Lee (Flynn) Ross; husband David W. Varner Jr.; son Aaron Lee Varner and fiancé Leah Litz; daughter Raven Lee Morgan and husband Zachary Morgan; grandchildren Mason Lee Varner and Zane Arthur Morgan; brother Daniel Lee Ross; sister Christina Lee Ross and husband Micheal Karlins; niece Nicole Lee Karlins; and nephews Jacob and Colby Roe.
Brenda's greatest joy in life was being "Gammie" to her grandchildren, whom she cherished spending time with.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to King-Barr Funeral Home LLC, 120 Logan St., Lewistown.
