Annie M. Byler, 76, of Belleville, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026 at her home.
Born on Dec. 29, 1949 in Huntingdon County, she was the daughter of the late Henry L. and Katie A. (Peachey) Kanagy. On Nov. 20, 1969, she married John J. Byler, who survives at their home.
Along with her husband, she is survived by children: Anna Mary Zook and husband, Thomas L.; Joseph Byler and wife, Linda; Crist Byler and wife, Tena; all of Belleville; Emanuel Byler and wife, Martha of K.Y.; John Byler and wife, Salinda, of Belleville; Linda Zook and husband, Benjamin, of Belleville; Benuel Byler and wife, Julia, of O.H,; Jacob Byler and wife, Maryann, of Belleville; 46 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; siblings: David Kanagy and wife, Ella, of Ind.; Israel Kanagy and wife, Annie of N.Y.; Ella Peachey and husband, Jonas, of Belleville; Gideon Kanagy and wife, Katie, of Allensville; Ada Peachey and husband, Jacob; Barbara Zook and husband, Mark; Henry Kanagy and wife, Nancy; and brother-in-law, Elias Peachey and wife, Lydia, all of Belleville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Linda Peachey.
She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
A viewing will be held on Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, from 1 to4 p.m. and 6 to8 p.m. at the Ben Zook residence, 299 Lewistown Road Belleville. The funeral will be held on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026 at 9 a.m. at the same location with the home ministers officiating. Burial will take place at the Locust Grove Cemetery, Belleville.
