Robert W. Fye Sr., of Lewistown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026, at the age of 81. Robert, affectionately known as Bob, was born on March 16, 1945, in Lewistown, to the late John E. Fye Sr. and Nellie D. (McMillin) Fye.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Ann (Hoar) Fye; siblings, John E. Fye Jr., Sylvia Etters, Michael Fye; and a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth.
He is survived by his children, Charlet Rayl, of Fla, Robert W. Fye Jr., of Lewistown; grandchildren whom he lovingly raised, Melissa Fye, of Strodes Mills, Melinda Sweitzer, of Lewistown; as well as grandchildren, Susan Guyer, Robert W. Fye III, David Fye; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Holly, Shane Jr., Faith, Robert IV, Ayrabella, George, Waylon; and one great-great-grandson soon to be welcomed into the world; sisters, Shirley Cooper and husband, Leroy, of Pine Grove, and Norma Arnold, of Lewistown.
Bob was a proud graduate of Chief Logan High School, where he formed lifelong friendships and memories. He dedicated 32 years of hard work at Empire Kosher on the turkey line.
Bob's life was enriched by his love for the outdoors and his community. He found peace tending to his garden and joy in assisting at the Port Royal fair. An ardent fan of WWE wrestling, Bob shared many evenings watching matches. His gentle companionship extended to his cherished cat, Dora, who brought him comfort and delight.
In honor of Bob's wishes, a private family service will be held to celebrate his life. Arrangements are under the compassionate care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
