Richard N. Keiser

Richard N. Keiser, (family called him Rick and fellow students called him Rich) 64, of rural McClure passed away on Friday, Aug. 28, 2026, at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital after a short-term diagnosis of cancer.

He was born June 23, 1962, in Lewistown, a son of the late William L. and Louise P. (Knepp) Keiser. On May 18, 2007, he married the former Anna M. Feltz who survives. He is survived by his in-laws, John Sr. and Rebecca Feltz.

Richard was a 1980 graduate of West Snyder High School.

He worked on the family dairy farm then became a crop farmer. He also owned and operated Keiser's Custom Butcher Shop for 20 years.

Richard was a member of the Bannerville Fire Company. He started in 1979 and served as an officer, vice president, president, and fire chief until stepping down in 2017. He helped Santa Claus out by being a stand in for Santa at the local fire companies at Christmas time. He was a member of the Burnham Lions Club. Richard loved going to public sales and the Middleburg Sale Barn. He was always willing to help people and enjoyed talking to his neighbors.

Surviving in addition to his wife Anna are two daughters, Phoebe Keiser and Tasha (Thomas) Lash; four grandchildren, Zander Snook, Tessa Snook, Gage Lash, and Savanna Lash; one brother, Kenneth (Teresa) Keiser and Brad Wright who was like a brother; one sister, Patricia (Robert) Church; one nephew, Dwayne (Abigail) Keiser; one niece, Daisy (Cody) Haines; two great-nephews, Colt Keiser and Xavier Haines; one great-niece, Lilly Haines.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 5 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Kreamer Funeral Home, 130 S. Zechman St., Beavertown followed by the funeral at 11 with Pastor Tim Reich officiating.

Burial will follow in Samuel's Church Cemetery, McClure.
